The Baroque Equestrian Games NE Competition
The Baroque Equestrian Games (BEGI) is a competition that rewards balance, lightness, and harmony between the horse and rider. The competition is open to all breeds of horses.

Levels: There are four training phases (Phases or Levels) in
BEGIINITIATE – Walk, trot
EQUILIBRE or balance – Walk, trot, canter, loops, transitions, shoulder in
RASSEMBLER or Collection – Lateral work in trot and canter, pirouettes
HAUTE ECOLE or High School – Piaffe, passage, changes, pirouettes
Sections: There are four sections. Riders can choose multiple sections. The ridden sections have patterns in all levels.
GROUNDWORK– Patterns in lunging & work in hand.
CLASSICAL SCHOOLING – Dressage patterns that are progressive in difficulty within each of the levels.
MOUNTED MANEUVERS – Dressage patterns with obstacles.
MUSICAL PRESENTATION – Musical freestyle in costume.
Entries: Groundwork $30; Classical Schooling, Mounted Maneuvers, & Musical Presentations – Initiate $35, other $40. Office $20.
